Bobcat Bash is April 2

Central High School says mark your calendar for the Third Annual Bobcat Bash coming on Thursday, April 2, from 5-7 p.m. at Central High School.
Actually, it’s Cassidy Taylor, academy coach, who is urging parents, grads and friends of Central High School to get ready for the big event. Central’s 865 Academies will be featured and will benefit from proceeds of the event.
Bobcat Bash will take place during Central’s Spring Open House. The school is looking for vendors to host a booth or other partners. Anyone interested should contact Taylor at 865-689-1400 ext. 71915 or email her at cassidy.taylor@knoxschools.org.

In Memoriam

Margaret Trundle
Margaret Andrew Ogle Trundle, has died at age 91. She was a 40-year teacher in the Sevier County school system and a 38-year pianist for Rocky Springs Presbyterian Church in Sevierville. A service celebrating her life was held at Atchley’s Funeral Home, Sevierville on February 20, 2026. “She will be remembered for her gracious spirit, quiet strength, steadfast faith and unwavering dedication to her family, her students and her church. … Her life was a testament to service given generously and without fanfare.” Full obituary here.

Aggie Jones
Agatha “Aggie” Jones, 95, of Knoxville, was a fourth-grade teacher for over 20 years. Her degree was from the University of Tennessee. She also enjoyed tennis and hiking. A member of West Hills Presbyterian Church, she sang in the choir at New Hope Presbyterian Church. She was a dedicated volunteer for Meals on Wheels and The Red Cross. Services were held on February 18, 2026, at Rose – Mann Heritage Chapel. Full obituary here.
