In the final days of the legislative session, Knoxville Sens. Becky Massey and Richard Briggs honored the Bearden Bulldogs boys’ basketball team for their win at the boys’ basketball AAA state championship. The team, along with coach Jeremy Parrott, attended the Senate session in Nashville to receive a resolution recognizing their state championship.
Briggs said the team went 32-5 on the season and won the first boys’ basketball state championship in school history.
“I know all of Knoxville is proud of Coach Parrott and this team for their tremendous accomplishment,” said Massey. “These boys have represented their school and their community well.”
