Bacon-inspired cocktails and bourbon tastings are planned along with chef-driven food experiences at the annual gathering supporting Sertoma in East Tennessee. Emcee Beth Haynes will be taking the stage, as will Benton’s Smoky Mountain Country Hams, all at the beautiful RiverView Family Farm setting in West Knoxville.  This special night of live music and culinary excellence is planned for May 26, and tickets are still on sale now.

Sertoma CEO and Executive Director Lee Freeman said, “The event reflects a shared commitment to compassion and belonging and offers a rare opportunity to gather around a mission that strengthens lives and builds community.”

Sertoma organizers plan to have tasting stations led by top culinary talent from Blackberry Farm and Blackberry Mountain.  This includes Joey Edwards, Joel Werner, Sean Miller and Kendall McCullough.  Master Distiller Jeff Arnett will represent Company Distilling, as well.  The tasting stations will offer heavy hors d’oeuvres from the Blackberry chefs.  This event has traditionally been called a Friendship Dinner.

Proceeds from the event help fund Sertoma’s stated purpose, which is: “Sertoma supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities by fostering independence, dignity, and meaningful connection within the community. Through innovative programs and strong partnerships, Sertoma empowers individuals to lead fuller lives while strengthening families and communities across East Tennessee.”
