A study in red, white and blue

Christopher RobinOur Town Arts

This Fourth of July week, it seems appropriate to show the red, white and blue. We were traveling through the Chicago airport and I noticed these American Airlines tails. I liked the boldness of the color and the depth created by the way they were staggered. Within a minute one was moved and on the way to its next destination.

As we travel I always have my eye out the concourse window looking for an improved composition of this subject, but none has ever beaten the original.

Photographer Chris and painter Robin Rohwer each week strive to share a painting or photograph that captured their interest in hopes that it will also capture yours. They have a small studio and gallery in the Emporium Center in downtown Knoxville where you can stop and see their work. Check ahead to see when they will be there, as they may be off looking for more inspiration. Their website is www.ChristopherRobinArts.com. Email them at ChristopherRobinArts@gmail.com.
