A late summer tableau on the farm

Christopher RobinOur Town Arts

As fresh as last week, “Hay Now” was painted on location at my favorite Union County farm. Who doesn’t love the scent of fresh mown hay, the glow of the sun rising over hay bales or the smell of clover as summer winds down? This painting takes me right there. With the recent hot temperatures in East Tennessee and rain desperately needed, I am thankful for farmers and their bountiful harvests.

Photographer Chris and painter Robin Rohwer each week strive to share a painting or photograph that captured their interest in hopes that it will also capture yours. They have a small studio and gallery in the Emporium Center in downtown Knoxville where you can stop and see their work. Check ahead to see when they will be there, as they may be off looking for more inspiration. Their website is www.ChristopherRobinArts.com. Email them at ChristopherRobinArts@gmail.com.
