The KnoxTNToday writers are showing their Tennessee loyalty again this week. All nine are predicting a Vols victory over Kentucky, although we’ll have to wait for their final scores to see just how confident they are.
Tennessee returns to Neyland Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 7, to face the Kentucky Wildcats in another SEC rivalry matchup. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:15 p.m. ET on ESPN.
After a disappointing 27-24 loss to South Carolina, the Vols have an opportunity to get back in the win column in front of the home crowd.
But will Tennessee take control early, or will Kentucky make this another nail-biter?
That’s where KnoxTNToday’s Game Ball comes in. Readers can predict the final score for a chance to win a Dinner for Two at Aubrey’s and see how their predictions compare with our writers.
🏈 Beat the Writers
There isn’t a Kentucky believer among our nine KnoxTNToday writers this week. Every one of them is picking Tennessee to win.
The question is whether they’re expecting a comfortable victory or another Saturday evening that keeps Vols fans on the edge of their seats.
Here are their predictions:
🏈 Marvin West: Tennessee 24, Kentucky 21
🏈 Maria Cornelius: Tennessee 27, Kentucky 17
🏈 Charlie Barnett: Tennessee 31, Kentucky 24
🏈 Tom King: Tennessee 24, Kentucky 17
🏈 Linda Sullivan: Tennessee 21, Kentucky 17
🏈 Aneisa Rolen: Tennessee 21, Kentucky 17
🏈 Jan Dickens: Tennessee 34, Kentucky 14
🏈 Thomas Mabry: Tennessee 28, Kentucky 23
🏈 Susan Espiritu: Tennessee 28, Kentucky 21
Nine writers. Nine Tennessee victories. Will they be right?
Our writers compete for bragging rights only. Readers compete for the prize, whether or not their predictions beat those of the writers.

🏆 How the winner is determined
An exact score wins. If nobody predicts the exact final score, the winning reader will be the eligible participant whose prediction has the smallest combined difference from the actual scores.
If needed, the first tiebreaker is the prediction closest to Tennessee’s actual score. Any remaining tie will be decided by random selection.
We’ll announce the winning reader Monday, along with the KnoxTNToday writer who came closest to the final score.
