Zoo Knoxville is giving children and teenagers a chance to spend fall break learning about animals, conservation and the work that happens behind the scenes at the zoo.
Fall Break Camp will be held October 5-9 for children ages 6-10. Campers will take part in hands-on experiments, animal encounters and other activities designed to combine learning with a week of fall-break fun.
Older students can take part in ZooCrew, October 5-7. Sponsored by Tennessee Valley Authority, the program is designed for high school students who are passionate about animals and conservation. Participants will gain hands-on experience while learning more about conservation-related work.
Families interested in ZooCrew need to act first. The registration deadline is Wednesday, September 23. Registration for Fall Break Camp closes Wednesday, September 30.
