Wallace Real Estate is helping Bearden Elementary School’s newest students begin the school year equipped for success.
The company recently sponsored 60 school supply kits for all rising kindergarten students at Bearden Elementary. Each kit contains the required classroom supplies, helping ensure every child has the tools they need as they begin both a new school year and their elementary school journey.
The project carries special meaning for the Wallace family. George Wallace, chairman of the Wallace Real Estate Board of Directors, has a granddaughter who will begin kindergarten at Bearden Elementary this year.
“Starting kindergarten is such an exciting milestone for children and their families,” Wallace said. “We are proud to help these students begin their school careers prepared, confident and ready to learn. This project is especially meaningful to me personally, knowing my granddaughter will be starting alongside them.”
The connection between Wallace Real Estate and Bearden Elementary also reflects a long history in the Knoxville community. Bearden Elementary opened in 1938, just two years after Wallace Real Estate opened its first office on Gay Street in 1936.
Now celebrating its 90th anniversary, Wallace Real Estate remains committed to supporting the communities it has served for generations.
“Strong communities begin when young people have the support and resources they need to succeed,” Wallace added. “We are grateful for the opportunity to support these students, their families and the educators who will guide them throughout the year.”
