Operation Inasmuch Day is Saturday, August 15, offering the opportunity to serve our community with projects for everyone with all gifts and abilities. Enjoy family-friendly activities together at lots of our projects.

If you can garden, clean, weed, collect/pack/give away food, pray, pack a care bag, make a casserole, give, ring, visit, sing, donate, build, check cars, wash, paint, make a blanket, or fix lunch – the least of these in our community need you, and you’ll have fun too!

Susan Espiritu

Susan Espiritu is a lifelong Tennessean, born and raised in Fountain City with a short stint in Hawaii where she met her husband of now over 50 years, Charlie. Susan graduated in Elementary Education from the University of Tennessee plus Master’s and Ed.S. degrees in Educational Leadership from University of Tennessee and Lincoln Memorial University, respectively. She taught in Knox County schools for over twenty years and served as principal of two KCS for a combined 16 years. After retirement, her love of writing led to a connection with Sandra Clark and KnoxTNToday evolving into a dream retirement of managing the online news in Clark’s semi-retirements. Susan cherishes time spent with husband Charlie, two daughters Maria & Kalea, and son Billy who have blessed her with nine grandchildren and one great grandson.
