Access to quality healthcare is becoming easier for more East Tennesseans as Access Medical Clinic (AMC) continues to grow its presence in the region.
The rural healthcare provider has expanded with two new clinics in Clinton and Jacksboro while also completing an extensive renovation of its longtime Gatlinburg location. The expansion reflects the organization’s mission of providing convenient, high-quality healthcare to rural communities with compassion, integrity and a commitment to every patient’s well-being.
The Clinton and Jacksboro clinics were acquired from existing healthcare providers to ensure residents would continue to have access to local walk-in, primary and pediatric care.
Located at 120 Tanner Place in Clinton and 2702 Jacksboro Pike in Jacksboro, the two clinics will serve approximately 126,356 residents throughout Anderson and Campbell counties. Their addition expands Access Medical Clinic’s network to more than 60 clinics across eight states.
To make care more convenient, patients at all locations have access to online scheduling, same-day appointments, and a wide range of payment options. The clinics accept Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE, TennCare, and self-pay patients.
The Clinton and Jacksboro locations celebrated their official grand openings during the week of July 6, welcoming community members for tours of the updated facilities and opportunities to meet the local healthcare providers.
“We are proud to expand into Anderson and Campbell Counties and bring accessible, quality-driven care to more patients in the East Tennessee region,” said Jared Clifford, CEO of Access Medical Clinic. “As we continue to grow our footprint in Tennessee and throughout the country, we remain committed to transforming rural healthcare and shaping a future where patients and care teams thrive.”
In addition to opening the new locations, AMC recently celebrated the reopening of its Gatlinburg clinic at 204 Glades Road following an extensive remodel. The renovation included structural improvements and a complete interior refresh. The clinic has served Gatlinburg-area families for the past decade, offering flexible hours, walk-in medical care and primary care services for patients seeking an ongoing healthcare provider.
Founded in 2008, Access Medical Clinic now serves more than 500,000 patients annually through its network of clinics. In addition to annual wellness visits, school physicals, sick visits and walk-in care, the organization also provides healthcare services to nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities and independent living centers.
