Wallace Real Estate is continuing to grow its regional presence with the addition of Daniel Shew, a Bristol, Virginia-based real estate professional who specializes in historic properties in and around the Bristol area.
Shew has joined Wallace Real Estate’s Downtown Office, bringing with him a deep appreciation for historic homes, preservation and the communities shaped by older properties.
Wallace Real Estate also recently supported the Bristol preservation community as a sponsor of the inaugural Old House Summit, held May 23 at The Bristol Hotel.

Shew was instrumental in the event, which brought together preservationists, architects, developers, contractors, real estate professionals, historic property owners and community advocates from across Appalachia. The summit focused on historic preservation, downtown revitalization, and the continued value of protecting the character of older homes and buildings.
Wallace Real Estate’s support of the Old House Summit reflects a broader appreciation for historic preservation and the role it plays in strong, vibrant communities. Wallace is also a community partner of Knox Heritage, and Jennifer Montgomery, Principal Broker of Wallace Real Estate’s Downtown Office, serves on the Knox Heritage Board.
“Daniel’s expertise and passion for historic properties make him a wonderful addition to our Downtown Office,” said Montgomery. “His work in Bristol aligns beautifully with Wallace’s commitment to community, preservation and helping clients understand the value and potential of unique properties. We’re excited to support him as he grows Wallace’s presence in the Bristol area.”
Based in Bristol, Virginia, Shew will help extend Wallace’s reach into the Bristol market while continuing the company’s longstanding commitment to serving clients across East Tennessee and the surrounding region.
As East Tennessee’s leading independent real estate brokerage, Wallace Real Estate has been part of the region’s story since 1936. The addition of Shew reflects the company’s continued growth while honoring the homes, buildings and neighborhoods that give each community its character.
