Romila Gunsallus, a participant in the race, posted on the Zoo’s social media: “This was such a great experience! I don’t even mind a little rain for a race. The keepers having some critters out on course was a lovely surprise. The after-race refreshments weren’t over the top, but they were definitely a step above! And the customer service handling the line during the peak finishing times was top-notch! They really did a good job putting on their first 5k!”
