Hard to believe, but we’re already halfway through 2026. Back in January, many people started the year full of motivation. We shared the top 20 resolutions in the United States for 2026 here.

The good news? A resolution doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful. Progress matters more than perfection. Even small steps—walking a few extra days a week, reading more often, cutting back on spending, or making time to rest—can add up over time.

Midyear is actually the perfect opportunity for a “resolution reset.” Instead of giving up on goals that didn’t go as planned, this is a chance to adjust them. That’s okay. Goals can change as people grow.

Experts often encourage focusing on habits instead of dramatic transformations. A few consistent choices each day usually lead to longer-lasting results than quick bursts of motivation.

As summer begins, take a few moments to reflect:

  • What goals have gone well?
  • What needs a fresh start?
  • What small change could make the second half of the year better?

There are still six months left in 2026—plenty of time for new beginnings.
