Michael Toth has been appointed principal of Halls High School effective July 2026. He succeeds Spencer Long, who has been assigned as executive principal at West High School. Long has been principal at Halls High School since 2019.
Toth is currently principal of Bearden Middle School. He joined Knox County Schools in 2003 as a teacher at Green Magnet Academy. In 2010, he was appointed assistant principal at Karns High School, and later as assistant principal at Halls High School/ North Knox Vocational Technology Center. He moved to Bearden Middle in 2017.
Toth holds a bachelor’s degree in voice performance from Michigan State University, a master’s degree in elementary education from the University of Tennessee, and an educational specialist degree in educational administration and supervision from Lincoln Memorial University.
