- It’s Tuesday and no political mail arrived at the Clark house yesterday. Knox County Commission met Monday afternoon with resolutions honoring/memorializing the late Dr. Doug Sanger, pastor of First Baptist Concord; the late Lynn Redmon, political operative and advocate for low density development, especially in Norwood; the Gibbs High wrestling team, which brought home a state championship; Karen Pershing, who won an FBI leadership award; and the late Jim Harbin, a former member of the commission from Powell.
- On zoning, the commission approved the developer-requested density of 3.5 homes per acre on the Fruit & Berry Patch in Halls.
- Bob Thomas and Ed Brantley, county commissioners at-large, will meet the public from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, at Sam & Andy’s in Aspen Square, Farragut. Everyone is invited to attend.
