  • Michael “Rocky” Cox, veteran fly fishing guide, will speak Thursday, Feb. 8, at a free, public meeting of the Clinch River Chapter, Trout Unlimited. His presentation starts at 7 p.m. in the parish hall of St. Francis Episcopal Church, 158 W. Norris Road, Norris. Cox, owner of Rocky Top Anglers, is a Knoxville native who has guided more than 1,000 fishing trips professionally since he started in 2001.
  • South Knox: KUB and its contractor Cleary Construction are scheduled to begin construction this week on a project to install 5,000 feet of natural gas main between Chapman Highway and Tipton Station Road in South Knox County. Contractor Cenergy LLC will construct a natural gas gate station at 304 Tipton Station Road. The project will require temporary road closures and should be completed by August 2018.
