- Cherokee Distributing Company has acquired Carter Distributing Company, the MillerCoors distributor for Southeast Tennessee, according to Cherokee president George Sampson. The addition expands Cherokee’s service area into Chattanooga and from 53 to 61 counties in Tennessee.
- The Salvation Army will kick off its annual Red Kettle Campaign on Friday, Nov. 10, across its six-county service area. Leaders are seeking volunteer bell ringers as well as hired bell ringers to help fill the locations and shifts that are not popular with volunteers. The Salvation Army is hosting hiring sessions from 10 a.m. to noon and from 2-4 p.m. each Wednesday at its N. Broadway campus. Info: 865-525-9401.
