  • Chili Supper today (2/23) from 6-9 p.m. at Central High School. The cook-off and silent auction fundraiser will be in the school commons, 5421 Jacksboro Pike. Commissioner Michele Carringer and Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs will be special guest judges. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
  • Quit smoking: Summit Medical Group will offer free classes to help smokers quit. “Fit to Quit” smoking cessation classes will start Monday, March 4, in Knoxville and will run each Monday for six weeks. Details and pre-registration at 865-212-2281 or healthed@summithealthcare.com.
  • Michael Blanchard is “employee of the year” for The Trazonic Companies in Knoxville. Blanchard is a special projects manager. Based in Cleveland, Ohio, Tranzonic manufactures and distributes wiping cloths, personal hygiene products, textiles, washroom supplies and accessories, wiping and cleaning supplies, and safety products.
