The Southern Appalachian Science & Engineering Fair (SASEF) awards will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, 6 p.m., in Strong Hall, Room 101, on the UT campus.
The science and engineering fair itself was held on Tuesday, March 26, in the Student Union Ballroom at UT for middle and high school students in a 23-county service area of East Tennessee. SASEF has promoted teaching the scientific method in science, engineering and math since 1952.
The fair is held annually at UT with two divisions of competition: Junior Division for middle school students, grades 6-8, and Senior Division for high school students, grades 9-12.
The top two Senior Division winners and their teachers will qualify to attend the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) which is traditionally held in mid-May.
