- Fountain City Town Hall will meet 7 p.m. today (09/10) at Fountain City Presbyterian Church, 598 Hotel Ave. Candidates for state House Districts 13 (Rep. Eddie Smith and former Rep. Gloria Johnson) and 16 (Rep. Bill Dunn and Kate Trudell) will speak and meet attendees. Kelly Ellenburg is chair. All are invited.
- Town Hall East will meet 7 p.m. today (09/10) at Eastminster Presbyterian Church fellowship hall. The Rev. Dr. John A. Butler, president of the local NAACP and presiding elder of the Knoxville District AME Zion Church, will speak about the pending complaint with the U.S. Justice Department challenging the Knox County Schools rezoning plan.
