Volunteer Ministry Center (VMC) announces its 14th Annual Wine and Shine Dinner and Auction, taking place on Friday, July 17th, 2026, at 6 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Knoxville. The evening will feature WBIR Anchor, Brittany Bailey, as Emcee and will be held in honor of the memory of Don Sproles, former Board Chair and one of VMC’s most enthusiastic supporters, who was a shining example of service to others.
This year’s event promises to be a lively and memorable evening, continuing the tradition of sipping and mingling for a worthy cause!
Guests are invited to purchase tickets or invest in one of four levels of sponsorship where everyone will be able to sip a selection of premium moonshines from Drop Zone Distilling and a collection of spectacular wines from Knoxville Beverage. Special wine selections will be complemented by perfect appetizer pairings and presented by Wine Host, Candace Viox of Water into Wine.
Guests will also enjoy a buffet dinner from the talented team at the Crowne Plaza Knoxville and entertainment from award-winning artist, Matt Leadbetter, who will perform throughout the evening. There will be an energetic live auction featuring trips, experiences, special event tickets, and more led by legendary Auctioneer, Bear Stephenson. Guests will also be able to bid on fabulous and unique items as part of the silent auction thanks to donations from amazing local sponsors.
Individual tickets are available for $125 each, or a reserved table for 8 guests (Shining Star Sponsor) is available for $1,000. Every admission includes a wine and moonshine tasting, food pairings, buffet dinner, tea, one drink ticket for an alcoholic beverage, and access to the silent and live auctions. More sponsorship opportunities are also available.
The Wine and Shine Sponsorship packages and individual tickets are available for purchase online at https://www.vmcinc.org/wine-shine.
Beyond an enjoyable night out, every ticket purchased will help create real-world impact within the Knoxville Community. For example, the purchase of a Shining Star Sponsorship (table for 8), can help provide emergency utility assistance for up to five households, preventing families and individuals from losing their housing during unforeseen circumstances.
Funds raised from Wine and Shine will directly support Volunteer Ministry Center’s mission to facilitate permanent supportive housing for those who are homeless and provide services to prevent homelessness. ENDS
