‘Symphony Soiree’ is sellout

Cynthia Moxley and husband Alan Carmichael just walk to events since they live downtown. The most recent (which Moxley highlighted in The Blue Streak) was the Symphony Soiree, one of the Elegant Dining series of fundraisers sponsored by the Symphony League. This one is a sellout with a wait list.

Moxley calls it “an elevated potluck” since musicians from the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra prepare the dinner and League members the desserts. “You never know what you are going to get – but you know it’s going to be good!” The party is held in the community room of St. John’s Episcopal Cathedral downtown. Moxley has photos galore and more commentary here.
