- Beth Harwell canceled a scheduled lecture at the Baker Center on the UT campus Thursday with notification to media less than one hour before the scheduled event. Harwell was set to speak from 4-5 p.m. Her campaign for governor is lagging behind those of Randy Boyd and Diane Black, and Harwell’s absence today could signal her withdrawal from the race.
- Glenn Jacobs actually increased his margin of victory over Brad Anders on Thursday. When provisional ballots were opened, Jacobs had seven to Anders’ one.
