- Knox County Commission candidates at-large will participate in a forum sponsored by the League of Women Voters 6:30-7:30 p.m. today (4/18) at the city’s Public Works Service Center, 3131 Morris Ave. Republicans Larsen Jay and Ronnie Rochelle and Democrat Tori Griffin are running for Seat 10; Republicans Justin Biggs and R. Larry Smith and Democrat Daniel Gerke are running for Seat 11.
- South Knox Republican Club will meet at 7 p.m. (dinner at 6:30) Thursday, April 19, at South Gate Center on Chapman Highway. Speakers will be Tim Burchett, candidate for Congress, and Larsen Jay, candidate for county commission at-large.
- Powell Republican Club will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 19, at Shoney’s Emory Road and I-75. Speakers will be Lee Tramel, candidate for Knox County sheriff; Jimmy Matlock, candidate for Congress; and Bob Thomas, candidate for Knox County Mayor.
