- Mayor Madeline Rogero will be at Pellissippi State’s Magnolia Avenue Campus at 9 a.m. today (4/17) to discuss her plans for upgrades to the Magnolia Avenue corridor. She’ll also learn about two new campus programs for fall: Media technologies/audio production engineering and computer information technology/networking. Everyone is invited.
- Mayor Tim Burchett will speak to the Halls Business & Professional Association meeting at noon today (4/17) at Beaver Brook Country Club. Lunch is $12.
- Knox County Commission candidates at-large will participate in a forum sponsored by the League of Women Voters 6:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, at the city’s Public Works Service Center, 3131 Morris Ave. Republicans Larsen Jay and Ronnie Rochelle and Democrat Tori Griffin are running for Seat 10; Republicans Justin Biggs and R. Larry Smith and Democrat Daniel Gerke are running for Seat 11.
