  • Canton Hollow Road improvements will be discussed 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, July 18, at the Farragut High School commons. Knox County is proposing to widen Canton Hollow Road from Kingston Pike to Trent Lane with a left-turn lane at Woody Drive, sidewalks, a multi-use path and curb and gutter drainage for the length of the 1.7-mile project.   • Eclipse Party: Mayor Tim Burchett will host an eclipse viewing party 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday, August 21, at The Cove at Concord Park. Those in attendance should see the total eclipse for about 90 seconds about 2:33 p.m. The party will feature music from RMS rock band from 11:30 to 1:30.   • Halls Republican Club will host candidates for Circuit Court clerk 7-8 p.m. Monday, July 17, at the Boys & Girls Club of Halls-Powell, 1819 Dry Gap Pike. Come for refreshments at 6:30. Candidates are Don Ridings, Scott Smith, Charlie Susano Jr. and Tim Wheeler.
