  • Karns: Harrell Road Park and Beaver Creek water trail will be dedicated at 10 a.m. Friday, May 26, 7221 Harrell Road. The park is the county’s first stormwater demonstration park. It contains two wetland ponds, native vegetation, a walking trail and a kayak/canoe launch.
  • South Knox: Commissioner Carson Dailey and school board member Amber Rountree will meet with residents 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, at Gap Creek Market, 2138 Kimberlin Heights Road. Everyone is invited.
  • Knoshville Jewish Food Festival is 11-2 Sunday, June 4, rain or shine, Arnstein Jewish Community Center, 6800 Deane Hill Drive. Admission is free with minimum food purchase of $10. Dine in or take out. Satellite parking and shuttle at Bearden Branch Library, 100 Golf Club Lane.
  • MPC will meet 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 8, in the main assembly room of the City County Building. Info: knoxmpc.org
  • Einstein Simplified will perform 5-7 p.m. Sunday, June 11, at the UT Arboretum in Oak Ridge. Only 90 tickets at $30 each will be sold. Various cheeses will be served and the ticket includes one glass of wine. Info: https://utas.brownpapertickets.com/
  • The Clinch River Chapter of Trout Unlimited will host Kids Fish Free Day 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 10, at the Miller Island boat access of Clinch River in Norris. The event is free and open to all. Info: https://crctu.org/.
