Both ornaments were commissioned by the theatre. Handcrafted by European artisans, they are heirloom-quality pieces.
The 90th-anniversary ornament depicts the outside of the Tennessee Theatre, complete with the iconic blade sign, and includes the number 90, commemorating this milestone anniversary. It also features details celebrating the theatre’s musical, theatrical and cinematic history, including a violin, theatre masks, a movie film reel, ballet slippers and a box of popcorn. Each ornament is priced at $45.
The second ornament is a limited-edition redesign of the theatre’s first annual ornament, introduced in 2016. A replica of the Tennessee blade sign, this 90th-anniversary version is adorned with Swarovski crystals. Only 90 of these special pieces were produced as a fundraiser for the theatre; a very limited quantity is available at $250 each.
“These ornaments are a lovely way to commemorate the Tennessee Theatre’s 90th anniversary, while raising funds to help keep the theatre going for 90 more years,” said Tennessee Theatre executive director Becky Hancock. “These two heirloom ornaments add elegance and local significance to holiday décor, and we hope they will serve as cherished keepsakes for years to come.
“We appreciate all that our community does to support our beloved theatre, and we look forward to providing entertainment and programming for many years to come.”
