Tennessee’s 27–24 loss to South Carolina disappointed Vols fans, but Shelley Miller had a better idea than most about how Saturday’s game would unfold.

Miller predicted South Carolina would defeat Tennessee 24–21. She missed each team’s final score by just three points and, importantly, picked the Gamecocks to win.

Several readers tied Miller’s six-point combined difference, but they predicted Tennessee would win 27–24. With the point differences equal, correctly predicting the winning team gives Miller the tiebreaker and this week’s Dinner for Two at Aubrey’s.

Beat the Writers

The KnoxTNToday writers also had a difficult week, with every submitted prediction favoring Tennessee.

Marvin West, Aneisa Rolen and Charlie Barnett shared the closest-writer distinction, each finishing 10 combined points from the final score.

Shelley’s six-point difference gives readers another victory.

Season standings: Readers 7, Writers 0.
