Whether you’re a high school senior planning your next step, a parent exploring college options or an adult considering a new career, Pellissippi State Community College is opening its doors to help you discover what’s possible.
The college will host Pellissippi Preview, a free open house Saturday, Oct. 24, from 9 a.m. to noon at its Hardin Valley campus, 10915 Hardin Valley Road.
Visitors can tour the campus, meet faculty and staff, explore academic programs and learn about scholarships, financial aid and transferring to four-year universities.
“The community has the opportunity to get on the campus and speak with expert faculty and staff about all of our academic programs and student support services,” said Sarah Davis, recruitment manager at Pellissippi State. “We will cover important admissions, dual enrollment and financial aid information. Come and get all of your questions answered!”
The event is designed for prospective students of all ages, including those interested in earning associate degrees, pursuing career training or preparing to transfer to a four-year institution.
A chance to win a scholarship
In addition to learning about educational opportunities, all prospective students attending the open house will be entered into a drawing for a $250 scholarship from the Pellissippi State Foundation.
Representatives will also be available to answer questions about the admissions process, student support services and financial assistance.
Saturday’s schedule
- 9 a.m.: Check-in at the Clayton Performing Arts Center.
- 9:15 a.m.: Welcome and presentations on admissions and dual enrollment.
- 10 a.m.: Explore academic programs and student services in the Haslam Center and Goins Building College Center.
- 11 a.m.: Financial aid presentation and scholarship drawing.
For students who cannot attend in person, Pellissippi State will also offer a virtual Pellissippi Preview on Thursday, Oct. 29, at 6 p.m.
Both events provide an opportunity to ask questions and learn how Pellissippi State can help students achieve their educational and career goals.
