There will be more than ghosts and goblins waiting for visitors at Boo! at the Zoo this October. Some special guests will be looking for forever homes.

Zoo Knoxville is partnering with Young-Williams Animal Center to bring adoptable cats to the Black Cat Exhibit during Boo! at the Zoo.

From Thursday through Sunday during the event, visitors can stop by the exhibit at the Pilot Flying J Wee Play Adventure to meet cats available for adoption. Despite the Black Cats of Boo theme, organizers note that not every feline at the exhibit will be a black cat — but every one will be looking for a home.

Visitors interested in adopting can meet the cats during Boo! at the Zoo and fill out an adoption interest form. The adoption process will then be completed through Young-Williams Animal Center.

Boo! at the Zoo runs Thursday – Sunday, Oct. 3- 30, from 5:30-9 p.m. (with the exception of the first weekends that occur on Saturday and Sunday, with the last entry at 8 p.m. The adoptable cats will be at the Black Cat Exhibit Thursday through Sunday.

The annual Halloween event combines family-friendly seasonal fun with the chance to introduce potential adopters to cats in need of homes.
