Vols win with a big night on the ground

No. 18 Tennessee improved to 2-0 with the 45-24 road victory. The Vols piled up 447 yards of offense, including 299 rushing yards, while Georgia Tech finished with 356 total yards.

DeSean Bishop led Tennessee on the ground with 147 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Freshman quarterback Faizon Brandon completed 10 of 21 passes for 148 yards and two touchdowns.

Tennessee led 24-10 at halftime after scoring 17 points in the second quarter. The Vols added seven points in the third and 14 in the fourth to put the game away.
