Wallace Real Estate’s North Office is celebrating Back-up Broker Jim Dingus as he marks 11 years with the company.

Before earning his real estate license, Dingus worked as a commercial airline pilot, a career that taught him how to remain calm under pressure. He once safely landed a plane after it was struck by lightning. Upon deboarding, he reportedly told the pilots waiting to take the aircraft on its next flight, “You aren’t going anywhere soon with that one.”

That same combination of composure and humor has served Dingus well throughout his real estate career. He is known among his colleagues for offering a calming voice of reason when challenges arise and for finding a path forward in even the most complicated transactions.

“Jim has an incredible ability to bring calm and clarity to any situation,” said Jenni Humphrey-Poveda, Principal Broker of Wallace North. “He can work through the most challenging transaction while keeping everyone grounded and even adding a little humor when it is needed most. His experience, perspective, and steady leadership make him an invaluable part of our office.”

Outside of real estate, Dingus enjoys traveling with his wife, Candice, and son, Andrew. He has vacationed in all 50 states and continues to explore destinations around the world. His extensive travels also make him Wallace North’s resident geography expert whenever the office heads out for trivia night.

After 11 years with Wallace North, Dingus continues to be a trusted resource for agents and clients alike, bringing patience, professionalism and a well-timed laugh to every challenge.
