Looking for something fresh, flavorful and a little different? Hardin Valley diners have been discovering just that at Tomo Poke Bowl, located at 10756 Hardin Valley Road.
Although many people are just now discovering the restaurant as Hardin Valley continues to grow, Tomo actually opened its Hardin Valley location in 2019 after relocating from its longtime Kingston Pike restaurant. The move gave owner Rathida “Tom” Khamsouk and his team room to expand both the menu and the dining experience while continuing to serve loyal customers from across Knoxville.
The restaurant specializes in Hawaiian-inspired poke bowls built around fresh, sushi-grade seafood, rice or greens, vegetables and house-made sauces. Guests can create their own bowl or choose from a variety of signature combinations featuring tuna, salmon, hamachi, shrimp, tofu and other fresh ingredients. The menu has also grown to include sushi, ramen, Japanese appetizers and specialty rolls, making Tomo a destination for more than just poke.
One thing that sets Tomo apart is its emphasis on customization. Whether you’re looking for a healthy lunch, a hearty dinner or something that fits a keto or vegetarian lifestyle, there are plenty of options to mix and match. The restaurant’s philosophy is simple: start with fresh ingredients and let customers create a meal that fits their own tastes.
Today, Tomo has become a neighborhood favorite, earning strong reviews for both its food and friendly service. As Hardin Valley continues to welcome new residents and businesses, the restaurant remains one of the area’s go-to spots for fresh, made-to-order meals. Tomo Poke Bowl currently serves lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and is closed Sundays.
