The Wallace Real Estate Tennessee Valley Office recently welcomed the community for an evening of barbecue, music, and family fun, all in support of a meaningful local cause.

Held June 26 in Dayton, the Battle of the BBQ brought together competitive pitmasters from across the region to showcase their best barbecue and compete for cash prizes and the title of Grand Champion. Guests enjoyed barbecue tastings, live music, children’s activities and the opportunity to connect with local businesses and organizations.

The event wrapped with Alchemy South BBQ as the big winner, and Smoke on the Water also placed.

Most importantly, proceeds from the event benefited the Rhea County Unit of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Ocoee Region. Following the event, organizers presented the organization with a check for $2,600 to support its programs and services for local young people.

“I am incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support from our community,” said Jillian Stavely, principal broker of Wallace Real Estate’s Tennessee Valley Office. “The generosity of my co-sponsors and everyone who attended helped make our charity event a success, and reminds me why I am so proud to call Dayton home.”

The event was made possible through the support of Wallace Real Estate, Paramount Title Services, Aaron Duba and CrossCountry Mortgage, the Rhea Heritage Preservation Foundation, the Rhea County Department of Tourism and other community partners.

Battle of the BBQ demonstrated what can happen when local businesses, residents and nonprofit organizations come together.

Said Stavely, “I want Dayton to know that Wallace – TN Valley isn’t just a real estate office, but an active member of the community.”

What began as an evening of good food and friendly competition became an investment in the children and families of Rhea County. Plans for next year’s event are already in place, with a date of June 25th, 2027, so mark your calendars!
