The town of Farragut has added a new park manager, Blake Travis, and promoted a current staff member, Hallie Riddle, to tourism manager.
Travis comes to the Parks & Recreation Department from the Athens, Tennessee, Parks & Recreation Department, where he served as maintenance supervisor. In that role, he spent all day, every day, in the city’s parks, he says. In his new position, he’ll oversee park maintenance, part-time park staff and field allocations.
A Rhea County native, Travis is married and has five children.
Tourism staff member Hallie Riddle has been promoted to tourism manager. She joined the staff as a part-time tourism assistant and became a full-time coordinator in January 2023. Since then, she has achieved her professional in destination management (PDM) credentials and completed the first of three years of Southeast Tourism Society Marketing College.
In her new role, Riddle will focus on the big picture of Visit Farragut, which includes a wayfinding and place-making initiative and curating new events. For more information on Farragut’s tourism program, see VisitFarragut.org.
