There are a lot of ways to use your library card as you travel, entertain guests and have kids home for the holidays. Here are some tips for using your library card for a lot more than checking out physical books as you enjoy the holidays.

Need holiday movies?

Stop by Lawson McGhee Library for Blu-ray and DVD rentals. If you want to watch digitally, access Kanopy for streaming movies and Hoopla for movie and TV show streaming. Plus, try Hoopla’s collection of Hallmark movies this holiday season!

Need tunes while traveling?

Lawson McGhee Library has CDs, vinyl records and audiobooks for check out. For streaming, Music Online has 82,000+ albums for you to listen to while on the way to grandma’s house. You can also stream through Hoopla and check out the latest hits as you travel the road. Check out digital audiobooks at Overdrive and Libby .

Kanopy has educational kids’ video content to keep the little ones engaged while you’re making spirits bright. If you’re looking for help with professional skills or personal growth as the New Year’s resolution season is approaching, try LinkedIn Learning to stream video courses.

Want to entertain the kids?
