Two candidates for the master of fine arts degree at the University of Tennessee will exhibit their work through April 8 at Ewing Gallery of Art + Architecture. A reception will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, April 5.

Griffin Allman presents I Remember Everything, an exhibition of paintings and drawings that utilize elements of both painterly and geometric abstraction, collage, color and gesture to investigate the ways in which the act of making is connected to memory, reinvention, place and control. Saloni Parekh presents Anarth, an exhibition that explores the intricacies of the term “god,” recognizing historical, mnemonic and emotional significance, embracing endless possibilities and a continual quest for understanding. Anarth addresses consistencies and inconsistencies within religion that contribute to societal divisions in an effort to generate a new visual vocabulary for what god could be.
