KCHD offers Covid testing, diabetes classes

Covid testing will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Knox County Health Department, 140 Dameron Ave., on this schedule:

  • Tuesday, Jan. 2
  • Monday, Jan. 8
  • Tuesday, Jan. 16
  • Monday, Jan. 22
  • Monday, Jan. 29

Testing is offered at KCHD on Mondays unless offices are closed; then it is offered on Tuesday. Those with health insurance are asked to bring their insurance card. Uninsured patients will not be charged for testing. Info: 865-215-5000.

Diabetes management classes will be offered on Thursdays from noon to 1 p.m. at 140 Dameron Ave. Call 865-215-5170 to sign up

Classes are free for this three-part series with different topics each week. Topics include information about diagnosis, healthy eating, physical activity, medications, day-to-day management.
