Farragut Middle team in National Science Bowl

Congratulations to Farragut Middle School team members on their victory in the Tennessee Middle School National Science Bowl and winning $500 cash prize for the school.

The Middle School National Science Bowl is an academic competition held in the United States in which two teams of four students compete to answer various science-related questions. A buzzer lockout system similar to the one seen on Jeopardy is used to determine which student has the right answer. The competition has been sponsored by the United States Department of Energy since 2002.

The FMS team will be representing the state of Tennessee in National Middle School Science Bowl being held at Washington, D.C., the week of April 25-29 in a trip that is sponsored by the Department of Energy.

The parents and team praised coaches Emma Rester and Kathy Browning for the never-ending support and belief in the team.
