S. Dawn Coppock is celebrating the newest edition of her book, Coppock on Tennessee Adoption Law. She calls it her “8th and final.”

S. Dawn Coppock

Coppock is an attorney with humor. (Different from a funny attorney.) From her website: “This is my last edition, so I tilted my head and shook out all my best stuff for you and your clients. It’s sassier too. I couldn’t help it.”

She says this edition has been expanded with over twice as much authored material. And she adds adoption forms, pleadings, checklists, letters and resources electronically in Microsoft Word for easy use. Her publisher is GoodLawTN.com

This is not easy reading, folks. The publisher calls it “both the leading and the only modern Tennessee law book on the topic of adoption and termination of parental rights. It is used by attorneys and judges statewide and cited as authoritative by the Tennessee Appellate Courts.”

Many Tennessee public and law libraries also have copies of Coppock on Tennessee Adoption Law, usually in the reference section.

Coppock published editions 2-6 with Lexis Law Publishing in 1998, 2000, 2003, 2005 and 2011. Edition 7 was published in 2017 with a 2018 supplement by Celtic Cat Publishing.
