East Tennessee native Brian Henegar won big in the quarterfinals of 2024 Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions and appeared in the semifinal episode on Monday, March 11, where he finished third, but still won $10,000 for his final answer of What is: “I love you Mom, Dad, Katie, Danny & Dave,” when he couldn’t come up with the answer to the Final Jeopardy question.
No one else had the final answer either, but the other two contestants had less to lose and finished higher in the round with the winner advancing to the championship.
Brian is from LaFollette, Tennessee, and gave a moving tribute to truckers as “the people that keep this country moving” and “America’s unsung heroes” during his final victorious game last year.
After his winning streak, Henegar remarked that, “When you work at Pilot, you realize how important truck drivers are to this country. I wanted to make sure that they got a shoutout. Because without them, I wouldn’t have a job, and we wouldn’t have a country.”
Congratulations, Brian, on a tremendous run in the Tournament of Champions on Jeopardy! I knew one of the answers tonight which is one more than I usually get correct!
