The good folks at Vintage, Etc. in Fountain City are gearing up for spring, even if this weekend is bringing Old Man Winter back for another round. The vintage and resale store is hosting an outdoor vendor market on Saturday, March 26, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Store owner Jeana Vaughn is offering booth rental space for those interested in participating in the Spring Market at the store’s location at 3006 Tazewell Pike. Anyone wanting to sign up can go here for details. And, attention all shoppers, mark your calendars!

As she did last year (see story), Vaughn is organizing another community clean-up day in coordination with Keep Knoxville Beautiful for Saturday, April 30. Vaughn said she plans to continue Saturday night movie nights (TBA), is looking at having a Kentucky Derby party as well as a Mother’s Day tea. She’s always got something in the works, whether it’s events for the store or to help better the community.

“I do try to delegate,” Vaughn said with a laugh. “Really, I do. I just always want to make things better.”

For the past two years, the Vintage vendors have decorated trees for the store’s Fantastic Trees event for Christmas. In 2020, all the proceeds went to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital since Fantasy of Trees was cancelled due to Covid. Last year, the proceeds went to Sacred Ground Hospice House. They’ll be doing it again later this year.
