Sinkholes are running amok

Knox County Engineering & Public Works dealt with a small sinkhole that popped up off of Double Eagle Lane this weekend. We worked with First Utility District to fill it with #57 stone, crusher run gravel and dirt.

We also had a medium-sized sinkhole appear yesterday off of Mascot Road. The sinkhole crawled approximately 6 feet under the road, but it did not manage to tear apart our road. We filled it with 10 yards of concrete, and the road is now safe to drive on.

Last week, our county paving crew repaved Cunningham Lane (not to be confused with Cunningham Road) in District 3.

Water Mill Trail in District 4 received a drainage update.
