Rocky Hill Elementary students produced some creative projects with potatoes crafted to match characters from favorite books in conjunction with Read Across America Week. All students are encouraged to participate in the optional activity and about 100 entries came in to be displayed in the library for the full week. At the end of the week, teachers voted on their favorite and a winner was announced for each grade level.
Here are a few of the dozens of entries and for those of us who are Mr. Potato Head nostalgic, there are many versions still for sale on Amazon!
