Knoxville Museum of Art has a lot planned for November 2023, starting with the re-opening of Higher Ground, the museum’s flagship permanent exhibition, on Friday, Nov. 3. A reception will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Second Sunday Docent Tour will be Nov. 12 from 2-3 p.m. Meet at the front desk at 1:55.

Jane Cassidy’s “Drink Up the Moon” exhibit will be up through Nov. 12.

East Tennessee Regional Student Art Exhibition will open Nov. 24.

Ongoing exhibits include Recent Art from East Tennessee and Beyond; Facets of Modern and Contemporary Glass; Land Family Sculpture Garden; and Thorne Rooms.

KMA will be closed Saturdays, November 4, 18 and 25, as UT hosts football games; and Thursday, Nov. 23, for Thanksgiving.

A members-only Holiday Homes tour will be Friday, Dec. 8, with invitations to be mailed on Nov. 10. Tickets are $175 and each member is limited to two.

KMA admission is free during November, sponsored by Home Federal Bank. KMA, located at 1050 World’s Fair Park Drive, is open Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays, 1-5 p.m. Info: www.knoxart.org or 865-525-6101.
