New doctor at Fort Sanders Women’s Specialists

Maeturah Harmon, DO, FACOOG, has joined Fort Sanders Women’s Specialists, located at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. Dr. Harmon is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and has special clinical interest in abnormal uterine bleeding, fibroids, contraception counseling, infertility concerns, preconception counseling, prenatal care and education, and preventative women’s health.

Dr. Harmon says she is fiercely driven to empower women through education while addressing healthcare needs to achieve short-term wellbeing and long-term quality of life.

“Knowledge is power, so education is key. I can learn as much from you as you can learn from me,” she says.

Dr. Harmon completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Presence Resurrection Medical Center Midwestern-OPTI in Chicago. She earned her medical degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia.

She enjoys traveling, reading, music, spending time with her family and friends, and learning new things.
