Holidays on Ice opens Friday, Nov. 24, for another season of open-air ice skating in Market Square.

“There’s no better way to spend ‘Black Friday’ than coming downtown to enjoy skating on our open-air ice rink, do some local shopping and enjoy the beautiful holiday decorations,” says Judith Foltz, director of special events for the city of Knoxville.

Holidays on Ice special guests and theme nights are:

Mondays: Knoxville Ice Bears and Chilly Bear – skaters get $2 off admission with an Ice Bears ticket stub

Tuesdays: Peppermint Panda – skaters who wear red & white peppermint attire get $1 off admission

Wednesdays: Christmas Sweater Night – skaters wearing Christmas sweaters get $1 off admission, and the most festive skater will win a prize!

Thursdays: College Night – skaters get $2 off admission with a college ID

Fridays and Saturdays: Disco lights and Knox Vegas DJ

Sundays: Family Fun Day

Tag your photos with #knoxpeppermint and #christmasinthecity when you post them on social media.

The rink will be open Friday, Nov. 24, through Sunday, Jan. 7. Admission (which includes skate rental and unlimited skating time) is $11 for adults, $8 for children 12 and under. Season passes are $50 for adults and $35 for children 12 and under.

The rink will be closed on Christmas Day and during inclement weather as it occurs. Info: KnoxvilleTN.gov/icerink.
