Last day for big carnival

Bring your mom to the Lions Club Spring Carnival, now underway at Knoxville Center Mall. It’s open from 1-10 p.m. on Sunday (5/13) in the parking lot near JCPenney.

Some of the hardest working folks in town are hosting the carnival to raise money for year-long projects of the local Lions.

The carnival has been sponsored by the Knox North Lions Club for several years, and this year sponsorship expanded to include the new East Knoxville Lions Club.

Admission is free, and armbands for all-day rides are $20 with $5 off coupons available from area merchants.

The carnival is owned by Forever Young Amusements. It operates through Georgia, Tennessee and Kentucky with rides, food and games. Owners are John and Angel Young.
