One of the most popular players for coach Pat Summitt was Tamika Catchings (1997-2001). She was one of the Three Meeks, along with Chamique Holdsclaw and Semeka Randall. With Kellie Jolly on the point, this bunch brought home three consecutive national championships – the high mark of Summitt’s career.

And now Catchings will be inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame this year. The ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 21, in Knoxville.

Other inductees are: Debbie Brock (veteran player), Carol Callan (contributor), Swin Cash (player), Sue Donohoe (posthumously, contributor), Lauren Jackson (international player), David Stern (posthumously, contributor) and Carol Stiff (contributor). Tickets for the induction ceremony are available through the Ticket Master’s website here.
